Ted Bardsley joined County in 1904 and was a first choice from the off. After helping County to the Lancs Combination title Ted continued to supply the crosses the following season, missing just 2 league games as County reached 10th place in Division Two. His career was ended by a collision with 23 stone keeper "Fatty" Foulkes which left him with a broken leg. SCAN 90
